The station was eerily quiet as they made their way towards the back parking lot, but the air was full of nervous energy and dreadful anticipation. Josephine pushed on the heavy security door, and it finally grudgingly opened, protesting the action with the low resentful screech of grinding metal. She peeked her head out and looked around cautiously. Gabriella could feel the soothing caress of the evening breeze leaking through the door, and she shifted from one foot to the other and back, resisting the urge to simply bolt past Josephine and run away, as far and as fast as she possibly could.
