Every year, after the main banquet and presentation there were the regional breakout sessions. From what Gabriella understood, it had originally been set aside as a time when the regional organizations could meet for any annual business; then it expanded and morphed into a time for the regional teams to get together to discuss end of year business. For whatever reason, however, the CNE sales team had always used the time to play poker. The room they’d been assigned for their “meeting” was much smaller than the banquet room, but the tiny card table helped it feel cozy instead of claustrophobic.
